Nuclear Meltup
Most of the world hasn’t noticed but uranium is becoming a critical resource. Most all governments have gotten their energy policies wrong, flat wrong. Faced with the need to reduce carbon emissions, governments took the easy road. Tell voters what they want to hear - electric cars, solar power, wind power, all sounds very clean tidy. Don’t tell them the stuff that will spook them. That there isn’t enough power generated from those renewable sources; and that if you the voter don’t want to burn more fossil fuels (which, by the way, are becoming increasingly expensive as a result of that supply shortage from renewables) you have but one alternative which is, nuclear. THE HORROR! THE HORROR! is how governments imagine the reaction. CHERNOBYL. THREE MILE ISLAND. WINDSCALE. YIKES.
Fact is though, here are your choices as a voter and consumer of power:
Use less power. Lol.
Buy more coal and natural gas from territories friendly and less friendly.
Expand nuclear.
That’s it.
